Mr E W Trent (DA) to ask Minister of Public Enterprises:

Whether Transnet has concluded its study of the results of the investigation into the relocation of the tank farm and manganese ore terminal in the Port Elizabeth harbor, referred to in a report in the Eastern Province Herald of 25 April 2006(copy furnished); if not, why not; if so, whether the results will be made public; if not, why not; if so, when?

Transnet is in the process of finalizing the technical study on the bulk terminal relocation to Ngqura. Once complete in October 2006, the report will be shared with the relevant stakeholders.
