What are the reasons for the increase by R15 million in his department’s travel expenditure between the 2005-06 and 2006-07 financial years? NW2564E
Reply
The department’s travel expenditure amounted to R5,463 million in 2005/06 and R9,323 million in 2006/07. An effective increase of R3,860 million. The increase is attributed to the fact that the Joint Project Facility was included in the vote in 2006/07 which was not previously the case.
