- The Department of Public Enterprises (hereinafter referred to as "the DPE") is
committed to protecting the privacy of the users of its website.
- When a user registers at the DPE web site, the DPE collects personal details such as the
users name, address, e-mail address and job title. The DPE also collects information about
the user's visits to the web site including service provider browser type and pages
accessed on the web site to optimise the user's experience and enhance the time spent by
the user online. The DPE also receives information telling it from which site the user
accessed the DPE site. E-mails received by the DPE may be retained in order to handle any
follow-up questions that the user may have or to measure how effectively the DPE addresses
the user's concerns.
- The DPE uses the information you provide to it during the user registration to enable
for successful registration and to package the content of the web site to meet the user's
needs in order to provide the user with a better service and to make improvements to the
DPE web site.
- The DPE does not sell individual user names or other private information to third
parties. It does share user information within its different divisions, in order to offer
an improved service to the user.
- The DPE will endeavor to ensure that all information received and/or processed by the
DPE pursuant to the use of the DPE web site and in the course of the provision of services
thereafter to be in line with global privacy laws. The DPE may elect to release
information to a third party when, in it's sole opinion, such release, is reasonably
necessary. Examples of such necessity include but are not limited to:
- To comply with all applicable laws and regulations;
- To enforce any of the terms and conditions of our disclaimer or this policy and
- Protect any and all rights of the DPE and/or other users of the DPE web site.
- Due to the fact that the DPE has no way of determining the age of the users who access
the web site, the DPE will collect all information from users. The DPE shall therefore
apply the same privacy policy to minors.
- The DPE is not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of the web sites to
which it may provide links.
